Its quiet in da house at the moment as we all digest Christmas dinner....yes, yes, I know its early but family needs and all that.
On the menu apart from a well stuffed turkey breast was:
Roast potato and parsnip....finally perfected the technique this year!
Braised red cabbage and apple with lardons
Spouts with pecan and nutmeg.
Chatenay carrots
and a jolly nice white wine and creme fraiche turkey sauce!
Now have full tum and sore thighs from the great little Skirrid race on saturday. perfect Chrissie weekend!

Do you know how I got my name? Ps....I'm not going to use "Let me google that for you" to show you the answer....it, erm, might bring up some images you'd rather not see pre-watershed.
I'm starting my 7th week of whooping cough and the Missus is right in the middle of it (I had to share the little bug with her!), needless to say even walking up a slight hill still leaves me coughing and retching. Known as the 100 day cough I have a way to go yet.
Christmas is mainly cancelled, roll on spring now the equinox is behind us.

yeah, yeah, its getting a bit drafty around here at times. We had some fun and games last year with the great safety debacle and the mass unmasking of various naughty sock puppets…well just one really. But after that? Well I tried to kick something off by being very pointed about the World Cup course. But no one joined in and, well Saz is a mate and I can't really kick it too hard. Especially as it is all Danny's fault anyway. And he is no longer with us to defend himself!
So, well…running. How is it for you? Becoming a bit rare for me but I may venture out to Cribyn this weekend if only to admire the views from somewhere near the back of the field!
I think it was the running situation that moved me away from the forum. Struggling with injury, I was doing less and less of it, so the forum became less relevant (and in truth, a bit depressing, reading of everyone's exploits).
I seem to be making my way back, can begin to plan some more interesting running adventures, and so popped me head round the door...
Might not be as rowdy as before, but it still feels nice to be back :)

Aye, sad as it is Wheeze, I think you might be right.
I'd say the forum is now well past its low point at the tail end of 2013 (if you recall we then had the perfect storm of months and months and months of 'f***ing safety debates'[TM] coupled with the ISIS invasion of the forum and the long shut down needed to get them out) and the forum is generally on the up now. Increasing numbers are browsing the forum nowadays and the hard core forum topics (like general fell running, races, long distance events and Bob Grahsm) all get lots of activity.Quote:
