Blimey! It really is quiet around here these days...where'd everybody go?

Bit rich from the guy who went AWOL for over 2 yrs, but I thought with newer (younger) folks coming along all the time, it'd be buzzing!

Hiya Milli and Softie! Great to see two old names coming back!

yeah, yeah, its getting a bit drafty around here at times. We had some fun and games last year with the great safety debacle and the mass unmasking of various naughty sock puppets…well just one really. But after that? Well I tried to kick something off by being very pointed about the World Cup course. But no one joined in and, well Saz is a mate and I can't really kick it too hard. Especially as it is all Danny's fault anyway. And he is no longer with us to defend himself!

So, well…running. How is it for you? Becoming a bit rare for me but I may venture out to Cribyn this weekend if only to admire the views from somewhere near the back of the field!

I think it was the running situation that moved me away from the forum. Struggling with injury, I was doing less and less of it, so the forum became less relevant (and in truth, a bit depressing, reading of everyone's exploits).

I seem to be making my way back, can begin to plan some more interesting running adventures, and so popped me head round the door...

Might not be as rowdy as before, but it still feels nice to be back

I heard you shutting the door so I popped in to see what crackin' off. Not much eh?
Maybe the forums best days are behind it....a bit like most of the users???

I'd say the forum is now well past its low point at the tail end of 2013 (if you recall we then had the perfect storm of months and months and months of 'f***ing safety debates'[TM] coupled with the ISIS invasion of the forum and the long shut down needed to get them out) and the forum is generally on the up now. Increasing numbers are browsing the forum nowadays and the hard core forum topics (like general fell running, races, long distance events and Bob Grahsm) all get lots of activity.

What I would say though is that the banter threads like this one are now on the decline - facebook and twitter will obviously have had a bit of a hit all round on what is now a bit of a clunky forum to use and, if nothing else, facebook and twitter are much better for banter anyway
