Couldn't stick the end of the Scotland Wales match so took the dog out for a 2nd run, this time a flatish road and trail 5. Felt good after this morning, but hope I haven't overcooked it as planning to go long tomorrow. Ah well it is a lovely day, but the WHW, which I crossed for half a mile each way, was so busy, must have seen 9 other people!!!

What a day! Didn't think I'd be running without a base layer in February :)
Just come back from a recce of the Trollers Trot LDWA event - 24 miles and 3000' in Wharfedale (according to the organiser - not sure about the total climb figure though). Really nice route but a bloody stupid idea given that I've had a cold all week. Still, 4.17 ain't too bad, hope to convert that into sub-4 on the day.
78 miles/4600' on the bike this morning round to Burnsall. Road run tommoz then 100 bike on Wed. That's the plan :)
2hrs 20mins or so off-road with Keighley clubmates. Good fun and great to be out running on a truly stunning day
30mins run through woods, beautiful day legs ache a bit from heather hopping yesterday.
set off on a hilly 8 miler but it was just tooo good a day to waste so
14 miles 3700ft in 2.45 hours from Yorkshire Bridge- Win Hill-Lose Hill-Hollins Cross- Edale YHA to Druids Stone and then Skyline route back to Win Hill-Yorkshire Bridge
Stunning day (morning)
Saw a number of Skyline recces taking place. were you out there today?
A georgeous 6 miler around and about these 'ere 'ills 'ere.
Lovely social run for three and a half hours along the West Highland Way, north from Balmaha. Had planned to go up Ben Lomond but in the end opted for continuing on the WHW for something more runnable. Felt good and must have been 21 or so miles. Quite up and downy too, over 2000ft certainly.

Funnily enough Ian I had just about the same idea as you. i went Yorkshire Bridge-Whin Hill-loose Hill-Hollins Cross-YHA -Kinder East trig-Skyline to just short of Win Hill-A57-fairholmes-back Tor -derwent edge-ladybower -YB. lots of up and down a good route and tougher than edale S.L.

16.6miles and 4500' - all gorgeous!
5.5 miles/500' road & trail 7min mile pace. Going to spin my legs on the turbo now for 40 mins or so, see if I can freshen them up.
4m to work on singlespeed. 15m home after work, couldn't go straight home on a beautiful day like today:)
1.7 injury free miles. First pain free run since new years day.
The comeback begins....
Although if I had a tenner for everytime I'd said that on this thread...
A nice 4.7 mile around my usual trail and XC pathways in Cronton. Lovely sunset to end the day from the top of Pex Hill.
6 mile hilly road race and it really hurt.
Ran up Foel Goch, stunning day again. 6 miles, 1500ft ascent.

12.5 miles. very little path running around broomhead moors
stunning day. ran most of way in just shorts
club run tonight
5 and half miles round the White Horse at Kilburn. 1100ft ascent. Very slow.
Glorious scenery and hardly anybody about.
4m to work on road, 4.8m 1209ft home off road. Trade descriptions act: 1000mile socks both have holes in them:eek:
9 miles by the side of Dukinfield/Hyde canal
Well done Dom, always good news to hear of folk coming back, just remember your mind might recover quicker than your body so take it slow and easy. Me I'm aiming to dominate the V80+ field in 40 years time.
4M recovery run this morning. Didn't run yesterday as couldn't get to sleep after long Sunday run, dont know why, 22 miles and 3.5 hours meant I was knackered but then just awake in bed? Go figure.
Anyway freezing fog this morning meant I was AWAKE and the club did an easy hill speed sess tonight as most of us are in Carnethy on Saturday and so didn't want to bust a gut.
Feeling good now.

A 5.5 mile solo head torch run around the back lanes above Giggleswick last night; a great little road run mostly well away from civilisation with absolutely no cars to trouble me at all, other than when I had to cross the Settle by pass. A really good climb up the lane out of Giggleswick too - one of those where you end up doing four seperate climbs with flat stretches for breathers in between. 44 minutes well spent.
This mornings run was 7.6 mile in glorious sunshine around the trail paths and XC route of Pex Hill. Quite a few runners out and about this morning. Nice to be off for a few days and able to run in the daytime.
After a day off due to cold, I did 10 miles on the moors as my run back from the garage. Thinking I might have to run back for the car later as my parents have just gone off to the City of manchester stadium tour. But first I have an appointment with the duck pond.
Got told last night by a physio that I should stop running until I can see a specialist to do a biomechanical breakdown of an injured leg, he's suggested cycling, but I don't have a bike at the moment. I have a cross-trainer though, anyone out there ever use a cross-trainer as part of their training. What are the benefits/disadvantages etc...
5 Miles /1000' up Hambeldon. Relatively warm and sunny, blue skies, lovely.
8m to work on singlespeed, 12m home, another cracking day, kids are enyoying it being off school this week:)
Did the anniversary waltz route. Warm sunshine and not even a breath of wind on the tops. I did however get cr*pped on by a raven.
AM: 14km Zone 1 along the towpath with dog.. canal frozen over
PM: 10km (300m ascent) headtorch run over Chinley Churn (Zones 1 and 2)
