Oh and don't even get me started on AW :w00t:
You'll be promoting that old druggie WW next!!

That's a business model that's ticking all the planning boxes.
As a qualified psychologist, Hank, this little outburst is really quite alarming :w00t: .... and totally brilliant
Sick, man. Very very sick.

I feel slighted! If only there were an annoying, occasionally amusing, slightly unhinged, provocative, enigmatic and controversial member of the forum who would stand up to the "bullies" on behalf of me and my fellow down-trodden forum members...

Mud,
I have a dilemma.
Is the FRA Chairman allowed to have a favourite poster?
(He has some very unfavourite ones but he doesn't have a problem with that).

Mountain rescue aren't too impressed locally either; they're getting more and more calls along the lines of: "It's not as sunny as it was on TV when Julia did it, and we're tired now. How long til you can get us off?"
Look at a picture book of Cumbria - it's a gorgeous place and then make up your own mind if you actually want to slog it up there... Julia bouncing around on a summit tells nothing like a true story.
Oh golly, it's not even half 8! What am I doing here!!!!!!
As has been said - difficult. If I had been in that crocodile, did I have a greater right to be there than those around me? - and those who found it difficult to get up/turned back/called for help will have learned a lot about themselves and wilderness areas.

Not difficult at all - as a fellrunner you have a god-given right to go wherever you please on the fells, and the closer you live to the Lakes the more right you have to complain about everyone else doing the same thing. Similarly, as fellrunners we have the right to drive to races along little valley roads in our hundreds, but also to complain about anyone else driving along the same road for other leisure activities. Hope that helps.

I'm a bit disappointed that none of the worshippers at the shrine of Bradbury have come on to honourably defend their heroine.... now Ellie Harrison, she can do no wrong
