Mountain rescue aren't too impressed locally either; they're getting more and more calls along the lines of: "It's not as sunny as it was on TV when Julia did it, and we're tired now. How long til you can get us off?"

Look at a picture book of Cumbria - it's a gorgeous place and then make up your own mind if you actually want to slog it up there... Julia bouncing around on a summit tells nothing like a true story.

As has been said - difficult. If I had been in that crocodile, did I have a greater right to be there than those around me? - and those who found it difficult to get up/turned back/called for help will have learned a lot about themselves and wilderness areas.
