Thoroughly enjoyed the Kinder Dozen. That Ken Jones mustn't have liked running on level ground much! Starting from the Snake Inn, it took us 7hr 21mins, which was slower than expected but we took it v. steady on the descents, didn't take the best lines on a view of the descents, and generally took in the views. I think it would be possible next time to do sub 7 hours though getting anywhere near Geoff's time of 5hr 45 would be tough, to say the least.

Good effort Boys, I'm thinking of another bash in a couple of weeks weather permitting. Your next task is to do the "Killer", much more running with nicer ascents.

I'm sure you could get under 6 hours, Mark. Don't forget I had pretty good conditions, knew the route pretty well, and going solo is always going to be quicker - you've no-one to talk to!

Oh, by the way - somewhat longer for the Kinder Killer - about 8 hours.

I completed a Kinder Dozen from Harry Moor yesterday in 6hrs 47min. Very pleased with this as it was 36 minutes inside my previous best. It was very breezy which made for slow progress at times, but visibility was excellent. Lots of hares about, now in their summer colours. Very few people until I reached Crowden Clough.

I'll be happy one day to get round a Killer during the hours of daylight! :D
