Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
After moaning like mad that Keighley were not submitting 2 teams to this , I have been given a place (due to a drop out) running leg one - with Dick Ballentine (gulp).
Dick and I were neck and neck 3 years ago before my injury cycle started both posting 54 at stanbury splash. Last weekend he did 53 and i did 60. You certainly get what you wish for, I am going to get hammered.
Anyone else doing 1?

I wore Mudclaw 330s. Better to have max grip when you need it, it doesn't slow you down when you don't. Good luck Emi.

Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay

They'll wonder what's hit them if it's them:eek: Some how I doubt it though.

Me and Pudgy...
But im on your injury cycle and he's grown morbidly obese so we wont be giving you much of a race....it may all come down to which team has the best gate opening/closing strategy and i dont really have the upper body strength to deal with 40 gates:rolleyes:
-
Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
I'm on leg 1 too AS, and am running with my coach  and to bloody top it off have a stinking cold

Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
ECRC............Edgeworth cricket and recreation club........an offshoot from Bolton United Harriers...
Dry but bitterly cold weather predicted for Sunday. These relays tend to attract a lot of non fellrunning (inexperienced types) no one on this forum of course......with that in mind the host club has a safety page on the event website which gives some usefull advise. They are also pretty strict on the kit checks which are made (to everyone)at the start of each leg (FRA rules)

Re: Pennine Bridleway Relay
They've got at least one decent runner in their ranks that I know of.
