That would be a reasonable suggestion if the races were organised by the FRA but they aren't.

I have just logged on to the web site and realised I have missed out on the 3 Peaks. After reading all 13 pages of blogs has it occured to anybody else that a lot of the enteries won't have the correct qualification and will just be chancing it on some obscure marathon time?
I for one will be keeping my eye on the web page for further developments.
I am not clear what, if anything, the PPP Organisers have got wrong.
They opened race entries up around the date they said they would...and 650 people applied like the Gadarene swine.
The organisers have in place mechanisms for elite runners, substitutions, foreign runners, etc.
So what have the PPP organisers done wrong?

i have just checked the few points raised there are a number names without clubs either they forgot to put the club down or they are not members therefore surely fra members should get preferance.PHP Code:

i hope all the names entered are checked and the entries re open then i can enter .
i only jealous as i could not get to a pc quick enough.
Nothing in my opinion. They are free to organise their race in whatever way they see fit.
However, while the FRA calendar remains the official means of communicating race information to FRA members, it is surely wrong for an English championship race to be fully subscribed before the calendar is published.
The organisers have allowed people to enter in advance and then to substitute their entry with another runner of their own choice with no additional costs!
Substitution should involve some cost penalty and the organisers should select the athlete.
I expect there will be entries auctioned on ebay!
