Technology failed my HTC phone this morning but the link above is the planned XOTF cycle ride. Relatively lowland, not too long but a bit of fun. I have the Memory Map route available for those who are interested. maps will be provided on the day to those who ask but the printing is a little 'vague' at present.
Let me know if you are interested and don't be put off by the bone crunching references in the description. Its a mountain bike magazine after all, they don't cater for nails fellrunners!
Given the terrrain and the time of year I feel that it would be only sensible for those planning on using bikes with baskets that they give consideration to bringing a few spare strands of wicker - just in case.
There will not be a kit check but those not bringing bikes may face sanction.
I don't mind how hard it is, as long as I can bring this whoop whoop face out again: Attachment 5261
I am coming babe, how could I miss XOTF? I do have a minor matter of the finals of the Welsh cross series on the 18th though, so I shall be driving back to Welsh Wales after Lakeland Spice on Saturday....
Thank you for the offer of a lift, but considering my early departure, it will be a tad impractical... xxx
I've had my salary docked for not being at my organising (mithering?) best

Early why of course
SteveS and SteveAmex the new Max and Paddy, hmmmm wonder which one i will be.
STILL don't know if I'll be working or not  In fact I STILL don't know if I'll have Christmas day, Boxing Day or New Year off. Le sigh.
I will just have to be a last minute gate crasher if needs be
I've made a boo boo but I'm still coming ... was coming Saturday for the run and then staying Saturday night but now have to get back for Saturday night so coming up Friday, staying for the pub and then the run / stagger / crawl but then have to drive back. Am booked into Denton for the Friday night.
I can't remember if I said I'd be coming for the run but if I did, I was lying. I've got an entry for the Tour de Helvellyn on the same day so won't be on the run, but will still be consuming obscene amounts of curry.
I'm having some Pakoras this year, i was insanely jealous of Daves last year. Might give this bike ride thing a miss too, 17m is a bit far considering i might be running the day after.
Is it on the 16th and 17th ?
I'd best get us somewhere to roost sorted and quick! :closed:
Booked into that hostel on the friday and saturday night, anyone fancy a run on the friday? Newlands or Coledale way? Not really into this cycling mumbo jumbo!
Many apologies Amex, but I won't be able to make it this year.

Nigel, some of us are biking (I instigated it as I can't run and walking two days in a row would be boring ;) ) some walking, some running, some drinking on Friday afternoon :) We are all crossing paths in the George though in the eve :)
Mine's a Sneklifter ;)
It seems that Turbo Tom has discovered women and university life. Say no more!!!!
