Ah, but it was snowing again up there just now....
Just a couple of hours out on the bike - A loop in the Ribble Valley taking in Jeffrey Hill - suberb views going up there out to the coast.
A steady 4.4 mile around Pex Hill today first run since Thursday. Used the trail paths today as my trail shoes are the only ones that don't rub my ankle at the min. Hopefully back to the roads tomorrow?
kinder downfall route, followed by a bacon buttie a cup of tea and a slice of carrot cake, felt tired but needed to sweat some beer out :D

Last night's training, 26.2 miles starting at midnight including a speed session through bandit country (Mixenden, for anyone thats heard of it) with a police helicopter for company, shining its spotlight round the area, glad i didn't bump into whoever they were after, or were they after me:eek:
3 depressing miles, very slow, very lethargic.Wine is no good for you.
Not in the quantities i have it anyway.:D
20miles on roads but with 2000ft of climb (out & back route to the top of Holme Moss from home). V. cold out first thing and the occasional snowy flurry. Bit of a plod but managed to get going at a decent pace in the end.
Full of cold so only a 6 mile/1700feet walk up Great Whernside today.
More cycling today, 80 hilly miles up Wharfedale, over into Coverdale and back via Lofthouse/Pateley Bridge/Greenhow. Was probably a bit much really in the cold, but was nice to see some proper deep snow at the top of Park Rash.
just a short 4 miler to run off the stiffness of yesterday. Energised and set up for the day now
:( really bad 3 miles this morning, I get worse at running not better
Ran down to the shop to take the DVD back....! :o
Then had to climb back up the hill to het home.... :(
Made it just over 30 mins to shake the lethargy out of the legs following yesterday's long run.
steady run with club tonight, usually around 7 miles, then a few easy miles tomorrow
this skyline taper is killing me :(:(
Photos of yesterday's run over Moel Eilio - fab weather but a little but chilly...

PS - cheers for the comments on the photos from Sunday, Pinto - wish i'd taken more but my hands had frozen up...
5.2 miles at marathon pace
7 miles trail over to the golf balls on Hambeldon and looped back round to baxenden golf course, Spire Farm, Coppice & home. Had to force myself to get out, did not feel like moving when I got up after a night shift - as always I always feel better for it but quite often motivating yourself to get out is harder than the actual run.
Too true, Ady, know the feeling well;) Motivating myself for a short sharp ride now.
90mins or so over Beamsley Beacon and Round Hill. Felt relatively strong; possibly because of the large Easter egg I ate after breakfast
60 mins out on the mountain bike covering 11 miles. First time on the bike since last September. Another one here just tucking into a large Easter Egg while everyone is out.
12 miles on singlespeed, cold and me knee hurts, hope its summatt and nowt:(
From Hayfield up onto Kinder plateau where the mist came down and it started snowing. Managed to navigate to Edale Rocks, put on fresh gloves and waterproof and get back down to Hayfield. Glad I had my compass with me (and even gladder that I went on the FRA navigation course ten days ago!)
Oops another catch up post as weekends away increase. This thread may get hard as the weather improves.
Easy recovery 4s and 5s all last week then a recce round the Ennerdale race route, 22.6miles and 7500feet in constant wind and freezing conditions. Great fun with Baggins, Moo and Huw with some sights I will never forgwt.
Then rest sunday, recovery 4 monday, recovery 4 this a.m and a steady 5 on trails this p.m. finally feeling good again.
Jason :D
6 miles on roads including 3 x 500ft climbs. Getting some hill fitness in as prep for longer fell run around Burnsall area on Sunday am - can't wait! :p
8.2 Miles around the roads of Dukinfield/Hyde/Denton
Three Peaks recce 18m, very wet and muddy out for 3hrs 15m.
5.7 miles from Pen Y Pass up Pyg Track back down Miners Track - still quite a bit of snow but turning slushy...
http://sarzmountainrun.blogspot.com/...s-melting.html
5 or so mile road run with a really good hilly bit.
9 miles club run around town. First 6 steady, around mara pace, then blast last 3 feeling really strong. A pleasing but very cold night.

Hello its me again folks! Just a hilly, road & trail 4 mile recovery run to stretch last nights pleasing burn up out of my legs. Feeling a bit heavy but nice to have no wind or rain, and snow on all the surrounding hills.
