Three years ago there was a grouse near the fords on the pennine way up from laddow rocks. It used to follow you and be fairly sociable. It was there several weeks displaying this unusual behaviour. My running partner at the time thought that it was being fed by walkers.
I must admit that was my first thought when it followed me, it is on a popular path. but when it attcked me....Quote:
