Enjoy The Three Shires guys. How I wish I could be there to take part, but sadly, I will be on my way to Zante for some sunshine :) :) :)

Ooh, and a very happy birthday to you for the weekened AK. 21 again is it? ;)
Good Luck to all at 3 Shires :)
(really wanted to do this one myself, but has "fallen through the cracks" this year)
I'll be doing Lantern Pike on Saturday
I know Merrylegs has also declared for it (and DanAzz can't make it)
any other Ponies turning out for judging at Hayfield Show...?

Good luck to all of you at Lantern Pike. Of course the real men (and women) will be at The Three Shires;):D
fell ponies not doing this race this then?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Osa8...eature=related
and I thought it was because someone hit you with a handbag?
That happened as well, and i got bitch slapped:eek: Some girls are just so PMT:rolleyes:
Any ponies doing Wernside on saturday:confused: Not sure my injured fetlocks will get me round but the 'ol cart horse may make the trip up.
superb day at Lantern Pike on Saturday :)
good to say hello to merrylegs and Fleeter (albeit briefly) before the start
Fleeter just didn't look right not being in a Ponies vest though
results not out yet, but think I was a few seconds quicker than last year - was hoping for even better, but the heat wasn't helping (not to mention my lack of recent training :o )
couple of pints in the beer tent soon revived me though :D
Well done Daz.... report on the website to follow???
Yeah, was a cracking day out Daz. Fleeter tried to hide his CVFR vest by rolling in the mud (twice) thus demonstrating he's still a pony at heart.
Within ten minutes of finishing i was stuffing myself with a cheeseburger and a bottle of Magners, ran out of hands, thank god for bumbags:D
hi emmi
I quite fancy Whernside one year, but not this
swapping to concentrating on flat road  stuff for a few weeks (going to have a bash at my 5k, 10M and HalfMara PB's)
might sneak in a trot round Windgather (Oct.12th) and/or Passing Clouds (Oct.26th) just to keep my "fell legs" in though ;)
hope your fetlocks are OK :)
Well done people.
I enjoyed the 3 Shires a lot but it was harder than I thought it would be, thought the top of Lingmoor would never come.
I arrived early and it seemed very quiet and I thought the doubt about the race had put a lot of people off but when I returned from a visit to the loo, about three hundred folk had appeared as if by magic. Got soaked going through the ford at the start, well nobody told me there was a bridge so I just followed the blokes in front:o It must have been knee deep for some people.
Oh! you've recovered then I take it? A pity;):DQuote:

Anybody seen the Madeira island ultra trail on the long distance thread , it looks really good. We were there walking in 2002 always wanted to go back, so it looks like Sept2009 for me and Mrs Ak (when I tell (ask) her).
Any other ponies fancy a crack at it?
Nice, but a long way to take the mobile wine bar:D
"20th again in 2009 wearing well then , doesn't look a day over 39:eek:
Levadas are interesting ask Mrs AK she followed me around one with at least 150ft sheer drop and no hand rails, she made me buy a guide book after that!!!!
