    Re: Fell Ponies??

superb day at Lantern Pike on Saturday
good to say hello to merrylegs and Fleeter (albeit briefly) before the start
Fleeter just didn't look right not being in a Ponies vest though
results not out yet, but think I was a few seconds quicker than last year - was hoping for even better, but the heat wasn't helping (not to mention my lack of recent training )
couple of pints in the beer tent soon revived me though

Yeah, was a cracking day out Daz. Fleeter tried to hide his CVFR vest by rolling in the mud (twice) thus demonstrating he's still a pony at heart.
Within ten minutes of finishing i was stuffing myself with a cheeseburger and a bottle of Magners, ran out of hands, thank god for bumbags

    hi emmi
I quite fancy Whernside one year, but not this
swapping to concentrating on flat road stuff for a few weeks (going to have a bash at my 5k, 10M and HalfMara PB's)
might sneak in a trot round Windgather (Oct.12th) and/or Passing Clouds (Oct.26th) just to keep my "fell legs" in though

    hope your fetlocks are OK

    Well done people.
I enjoyed the 3 Shires a lot but it was harder than I thought it would be, thought the top of Lingmoor would never come.

I arrived early and it seemed very quiet and I thought the doubt about the race had put a lot of people off but when I returned from a visit to the loo, about three hundred folk had appeared as if by magic. Got soaked going through the ford at the start, well nobody told me there was a bridge so I just followed the blokes in front It must have been knee deep for some people.
