Went for short run last night to see how my shin is doin and i was running down the thin off-road path near my house thats quite over-grown....and this wood pigeon flew out of a tree right into me.
Took me by quite a supprise and the bird was in shock, it just stood on the floor. I picked it up and hid it in the bush away from anythin that might want to eat it and continued on my run, on my return through the path on the way home, i checked and it had gone....presuming it recovered and flew off becuase there was no sign of feathers or anyting that would suggest it had been eaten.

Last night's run around Holme Moss: saw lapwings, curlews and hares a plenty. And then right at the end an owl. Best thing was that I didn't see a single person in over 2 hours.... :p
They were all in pairs then?
Just, errm, brown, dark brown...if that helps!
