Daz,
How silly of me not to have thought of this before!
Plenty of space on the garage wall for the pic and I have a spare frame so...
All I need is a decent size picture of you and my turbo problems are solved, something in closeup please.

Must be one on the Edale pictures thread??
No... I hate them with a vengeance... have tried everything, from music, to dvd's to chatting on the phone and phantasising wild things, nothing helps with the boredom of it and the longest I have ever managed was an hour... that was doing part of the Amstel Gold race on the Imagic...
Hanneke darling,
Beautiful vest.
Thanks Lola, you are looking rather fab yourself today :)
Well, todays bike ride was a tad hair raising, as I took my new track bike out onto the track for the first time. Bought it on Ebay and the previous owner has not used it for years, so the tyres are a bit crumbly... as well as used on a concrete track rather than a wooden one, so even though we sandpapered them, I still slipped right off the banking in and out of my first bend...
Thankfully, I managed to stay upright, but lost my nerve slightly after that... New tyres are on order, as well as some slightly smaller chainrings... 50x14 is a little big for me at the moment :D
20 miles spinning small ring tonight, starting to look at the partners lady razors, shall I do my legs?
First time I did mine many years ago I had to use Immac as the razor kept jamming. In the mortning I was stood in the bathroom covered in the stuff, when the plumber who was expected that afternoon arrived early, took one look at my legs, fixed the problem very quickly and left almost falling over himself to get out. :)
Though I think I need to do a few more miles first. Going out on my first chaingang for many a year at the weekend - dreading it.
20 mile blast on the canal again today before work.
Was really pushing hard along the canal, the the hills getting to the canal and getting back really killed my time. I was hoping to get under the hour mark but i was 12 minutes out or something along those lines. 37 minutes out, early 30's back.
Alot of work to be done me thinks.
Are you still injured and did you get a decent bike?
If you want to build your miles up without racing try

they are normally on quiet roads in nice parts of the uk
Also is the cycling just to keep fit or is there a purpose to it?
Hmmmmm, keep thinking about shaving my legs. Not sure.
On a serious note re shaving, it depends methinks most people just it for the look and it marks as a more serious cyclist. My belief (no doubt to be contested) about it making for smoother airflow is rubbish for most of us. Though the view that it helps road rash heal better as the hairs don't block the scab from healing has some merit. Grazed my leg last week and the scab is a bit of a mess due to my hairy legs.
Why don't you come in and get me darling?
It only makes a difference if you fall, as it helps with road rash...
Thankfully, my legs aren't hairy, so I don't have this problem :D
less chance of chaffing I'd imagine:D
Generally the leg shaving is for ease of massage and embrocation...it's also useful if you're doing multisport as swimming is like moving through a silky substrate when shaved !!!!! TRy it !!!!
Also less problems for triathletes making the transistion from water to freezing cold rides, as the water disperses from the body quicker as hair holds it like a sponge and can give a chill
I also find it helps with fell running and xc running....I fell on some rocks at the Roaches race and the gash had less chance of picking up dirt ( from which you can die ).:)
50 Miles in the Ribble valley with unshaven legs hidden in my longs :) Quite nippy pre-noon and could have done with some gloves. Bike shop this aft to sort out some bits for the crosser.
116 miles today , just over 16mph
very hilly route into the peak district then back across to Mansfield, down to Nottingham and home
Quite windy and not easy at all
