On Darling Fell bring your own beer & cycling cap if desired, a reading or two will commence on Darling fell at 12 noon ish to give respect to our dear departed friend, then in typical XOTF style off to the the George at 7 pm to well you know the rest.
As with all XOTF events its not a race all abilities welcome all people welcome.

Hmm. We're doing Tour de Helvellyn on the Saturday, but if we finish intact and are still capable of coherent speech we might drive round to the George for a pint with you all if that's OK. We might also collapse in a snotty heap so don't hold me to it :D

Couple of pints at 7pm in the George Martyn, then a stroll down to Lakeland Spice. It'll do you a power of good :thumbup:

Yup, same here... Need to drink some courage into me for a 2 week stint on the IOM afterwards as well :w00t:

I have looked on the map and I think I can cycle up to Darling fell, well, part of the way anyway, so expect me there with bike, cycling cap AND bottle of snecklifter in the bottle cage :D

Accommodation and leave from work booked :D WHOOP!!! Not that my leave has been approved, but given all my hard work this year they can narnas if they want me to work :sneaky:

Me and Neil are hoping to make the drinks etc (we came along last year - as friends of that Mr Nee Bother...)
Neil is doing the TDH so I will be doing my own run, and as we plan to stay over anyway, may as well meet up with you lot :rolleyes:

Having to drive to A'deen for Christmas.. so wouldn't mind a few nights in the lakes.. what are accom options? its now a huge thread... need to book or show up and camp?

Iain, some folk stay in B&Bs, odd ones in the YHA, one or two camp and a few have been known to stay at independent hostel Denton House . I don't think accommodation is a big problem just before Christmas

Weekend is basically a run out on the Saturday at 'social pace', beers, curry and then more beers, before moving on to the 'Loft' nightclub

Great, may well call in to break the journey.. slow is good.. the old dog is slowing down so steady hill runs are all she's good for..
