I am just an elitist.
I drove to Cambridge and back (350 miles)this week to see the 4 Vermeers in the special exhibition in the Fitzwilliam Museum. Obviously I have seen them before in, say, The Louvre but one has to pay respect.
Eavesy, best beats/production/scratching - Premo?
http://youtu.be/ycu7i7hbcFU
Best dance floor production for sure.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6m8q4MqwvA&feature=fvst
Both classics and unmistakably premo. Scratching however is a whole different ball game. Kentaro, Q-bert, Babu, Kelver, Prime cuts, kid koala the list goes on. For me the best has to be Mixmaster Mike......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DLED7krHwU
And for production related scratching it would be Revolution for the dance floor....

See next post......
For straight up dance floor scratching you can't beat spinbad......
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA4vS_4Gc3c&feature=fvst
The single piece of scratching that blew me away more than any other has got to be craze's 99 DMC set....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nbJfSLxy1U
For home listening however I'd have to go with the scratching of DJ Krush, Geoff Barrow and Buck 65.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfou1TTMXfo
Home production has got to be the mighty EL-P.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuwthdHxBJI
Oh and best hip hop album of all time.....

The one and only Niggamortis (6 feet deep). So so good
Got to thinking after you'd posted the Jeru t'other day, and about Premo as the most 'complete' hip hop producer. No doubt there are many flashier scratchers, but could they turn out beats like this?
http://youtu.be/cLUPTmQeuas
It might get a laugh from the 'heads but I always rated Cut Chemist, not so keen on some of the J5 rapping tho

I'd say he's the most consistent producer of amazing beats and thats why I rank him at the top of the dance floor tree.
And now I've GOT to post this.

That would be number 2 on my list. It's a better album, but me and my mates spent a full summer hammering the gravediggaz album so it has the sentimental edge to push it to the top of the tree.
And RZA certainly knows his beats. In answer to your previous complete producer you'd have to put Shadow right up there. Endtroducing is ridiculous.

17 and killin it

More Wu lyrical gold. OBD at his best. Hilarious.....

And for giggles....

It would be so easy to post non stop wu bangers all night.
Hah hah! ODB certainly was a card wasn't he?
Right back at you

Can remember at the time how RZA's sampling just blew all that flabby G-funk outta the water..
It weren't all bad, this was heavy.........
