    I drove to Cambridge and back (350 miles)this week to see the 4 Vermeers in the special exhibition in the Fitzwilliam Museum. Obviously I have seen them before in, say, The Louvre but one has to pay respect.

    Ah, Vermeer, yes... Think I have seen all of them over the years, but they don't travel well, or often, so one has to take advantage of the opportunity when it arises...
