:) it's a dangerous sport is running
well i have been for a run in the wind and the sideways rain - if I closed my eyes I could almost imagine I was on top of pen y ghent again, but perhaps closing my eyes is not such a good idea while running round town in rush hour
Kinder downfall sunday and after 4 LONG hours with 3 small children tootling (bloody roadworks:mad: ) down the A1 yesterday a much needed plod was called for!
Alas - opened overnight bag - remembered trainers but not much else:eek: Managed to scrabble a rather oversized outfit together courtesy of my lovely mum in law and headed out into the gales of Peterborough. A very long, very flat, very straight boring road with not a hill in sight:(
Managed 2 and half miles before I couldn't take any more speeding cars, exhaust fumes and lack of scenery so turned round and headed the 2 and half miles back.
MAnaged to do the 5 miles averaging 8min miling - although God knows how as had just had a LOVELY, HUGE tea Home made jam roly poly is not the ideal fuel for running - stitch from the end of the driveway!
Back up the A1 again in a few hours - 2 children lighter:D
a lot better tonight
