32 miles bike and a 4 mile off road run - with any luck I'll be fit for Fairfield.
Up in the Lakes for the weekend - did Coniston race on Saturday in virtually the same time I did on my first time 22 yrs ago. Hope I can do the same time in another 20 yrs when I'll be 70!!!
Today was just one of those good to be alive days when I did a circuit of Dow Crag and Coniston from Torver on a morning without a cloud in the sky. Saw lots of other runners doing their own thing - and also got a chance to do a proper recce of the Lakeland Fair descent from the top of the Old Man back to Torver - found the trod all the way - Brill!!!!!!!
5km race last night :)
then spent the entire morning this morning waiting for my mother to drop off the cat  said she'd be here about half 8 and only just turned up tooo late for my run now grrgrrrggrrrr
Just out for 30mins or so to stretch the legs.... Bit of a shock all this fine weather - hard to believe! :p
5 miles off road, first run where i have felt good and enjoyed it since London, hope i can push on now :)
12 miles around Derwent valley taking in about 2,000ft of climbing.
Glorious running in shorts and vest, didn't see any one until I got back to the Valley.
Just by Margary Hill a shadow past so close I ducked, looked up and there was a Buzzard hovering about 15ft above my head on the thermals coming over the edge. I don't know whether he thought I wasn't long for this world or he was hoping I'd spook a grouse? Either way it was impressive.
Lucky devil! :(
You're a bit big to carry off though, no matter how big the buzzard.....
1 hour running:)
The Gribdale Gallop route 7.5 mile 1340ft. Was a hot one!
Wasn't feeling particularly good as still suffering post nightshift tiredness and very low motivation. But forced myself out, not wanting to miss the wonderful sunny day. :) Felt even worse when I was overtaken by someone carrying a bike up Roseberry Topping! :o Think I should change my name to Mountain Tortoise! :( Hey ho!
Lovely weekends running whilst away. Stopped on Hadrian's Wall on way to Sunderland on Saturday and did 5 miles east from from Walltown and then back again, a lovely run with lots of short sharp inclines and nice weather. Then Sunday was a hilly 8 in Sunderland at mara pace, again feeling easy. Finally yesterday did 5 straight after driving back up north, I felt heavy and the dog vommited so no fun all round. Easing off now.
coniston race saturday followed by many beers, sunday rest and more beer, and yesterday a good 8 hours of climbing in the slate quarries in llanberis, lovley weather, took about 4 hours to get up the M56 to stockport though on the way back, bad traffic, been knackerd all day today
Thats in Pensher yer daft bugger:D
[QUOTE=Mountain Goatess;127827] Felt even worse when I was overtaken by someone carrying a bike up Roseberry Topping! :o
Didn't think you'd seen me carrying the missus:eek:
Sorry...apologies to all for being cheeky:o
I'm not normally like this :)

Then...
4X200 no slower than 28sec (200m Jog Recovery)
1st evening club summer run tonight from Hurst Green, 75 minutes through fields and woods on a lovely warm evening. 2 groups, probably about 40 runners in all, maybe swelled due to the subsidised food in the pub after.
Just under 7 mile on the roads tonight and ended up with a slight calf strain when nearly home. Will have to rest a couple of days now. Thats Mobberley out tomorrow.
Club run over winter hill from the carpark at the top of tockholes road about 8.5 miles. The view from winter hill was magical as we were descending, the sun was hitting anglezarke resr. turning it into a golden mirror.:D
4.77miles, 1181ft off road to work, cracking weather, ran in only shorts, tuna salad sandwich did not enjoy the trip in my bumbag but got ate anyway. Had my break at 6pm, outside with feet in river, bloody marvellous:cool:
Sorry I wasn't specific, that was an undulating 8 mile road run through Sunderland, starting at Barnes Park and running through the parks, up Sand Hill, along Fox Cover lane towards Herrington and back. Its not as hilly as round here but I used to call it hilly when I lived there.
It is fun revisiting runs from ones youth though.:)
Jason
37 mile on road bike, picking up a friend on the way, very warm over Dewsbury way. Nice warm up for the Flower Scar tonight;)
just 4 miles at lunchtime today...knees are very sore
25 miles on the new bike , underlating and averaged 17.5 , went at 9.30 am and it was hot !!
12 miles. Cod Beck Reservoir to Lordstones (first checkpoint of Lyke Wake Race)and back. Another glorious day. Phew :)
Was jealous seeing so many people sat by the stream having picnics while I came back sweating like a fat goat! :D
Nice easy 9 along the flattest part of the West Highland Way.
Hard packed track starting outside the house. Straight after work, sunny and lots of gates so made me take it slow.
Quite enjoyable really, but starting to get nervous already, what if I forget how to run with all this tapering stuff?
Jason.
1h 15mins easy fell run with chums. Started just about Meltham and over to West Nab taking in two trig points. Back at the car at dusk. Nice return to it after 3 days off....:)
1 hour 45 minute run up Ingleborough from Clapham with my (new) chums at Settle Harriers. Chuffing brilliant, especially being on the summit at about 8 pm with the sun just going down.
It was a warm one here too. Absolutely fantastic on the tops but the midges were out in their teeming millions by the lake on the way back - I got a mouthfull, nosefull, facefull with a few intrepid buggers even getting in behind my left contact lense and almost blinding me! All part of the fun though.
Tonight, Win Hill from Yorkshire Bridge via Parkin Clough, 3 - 5 reps depending on timings/mood. Starting from YB just after 7pm if anyone else is around, usual suspects have cried off so at the moment it's a solo effort.
