My girlfriend has just picked a pair up and they seem like an ok trail shoe, seem nice and light, but the mens aren't a great colour.
£45 from Sweatshop! Could they be the credit crunch shoe?

Took this out for there first run last night, what a really nice shoe.
A bit more cushioning than what I'm used to, but a very comfortable shoe for running on the trails.
A great shoe for the price!
What's fit like Hopey? Adidas are usually quite narrow compared with Inov8 and Asics, which suit me.Quote:

I thought i'd temportarly revive this thread.
On saturday on my first run in the fells, i wore these!.
I must say they were brilliant!.....
Short and sweet post i know but i thought i'd spread the news that they made a decent stand-in fell shoe:D
I have seen them in sportsdirect (donnay-sports soccer) store (liverpool one) for £37.09.

Bought a pair today from a well-known sport shoe emporium in Bradford. Although first run in them won't be until tomorrow I thought it worth reiterating Hopey's comment about the shoe size as I needed a 9 compared with an 8 for my Inov8s.
I've also just got a pair. I went hald a size up - 9.5 instead of 9.
They look the business really for £45 less my 10%.
I've had Walsh and Swoops so will see soon how they fair in comparison.

Well i am normally size 4 or 5 in shoes, and i bought the addidas running shoes, and 6 half i had to get!!! which really is a weird size, considering my shoes are a size 4...
Saw a fella in a pair of these today at ALS. What's their width like? Adidas are usually narrow for me
Wore mine today at Giants Tooth for which they were perfect given the mostly hard underfoot conditions. Unlike some on here I don't have a big range of running shoes but they are definitely wider than my mudrocs by about half a cm.Quote:

Just done 19 miles today - my first run in them Horton - Pen-y-Ghent to Ribblehead - Hill Inn - Ingleborough - Horton - 4 hours on my feet.
No blisters - perfect fit - very good - decent grip.
Only comment is that I think these soles, like Swoops, are injection moulded and they seem to have a release agent coated on them to start with which could make them slippy on some surfaces first time up - best to have a run in them first to rough the bottoms up a bit.
Another to consider - Have a look at these Nike Trail Shoes I use them for XC and Trail and so far found them to be very good also £20 cheaper than when I bought them.

We went up ere yesterday:
I wore my new snazzy Adidas Kanadia shoes. They were really comfortable. As WP says 'no blisters'.
Bought a pair yesterday, £32 at Sport's Direct, Lancaster
Tried them a few days ago. Very good shoe. I wish it had better toe protection as Inov-8 and Salomon.
Note for all, the front bit of the shoe where the tread carrys on up the front of it....mine has come lose and is now hanging there like a flap, i tripped over a rock during the pennine b'way relays and thats what did mine so keep an eye on them.
If nobody has any idea what im trying to describe ill get a photo.

id go for the inov-8 roclites as they are quite light and grippy with cushioning or maybe even considering a mudroc 290 - 280 as i have been told they are more of a trail shoe and not an out and out fell shoe as people have had trouble decending steep hills in themQuote:

For less than 40 sheets these are a beaut pair of trail shoes.
Wouldn't like to use them on wet rock, but for general off-road, mud, trails, they are great. Very comfy, grippy, light & responsive. A whole lot better than a pair of the dreadful Davos that I used to curse every time I wore 'em.
Sizewise, try afore you buy. The sizing seems to be mega-small.
Overall, I do rate them & if you shop around, at that price, they're a deal, steal, sale of the Century!
