Only downside for me is that they get wet as soon as you go through the smallest puddle but you soon get used to it and dont noticed.

id go for the inov-8 roclites as they are quite light and grippy with cushioning or maybe even considering a mudroc 290 - 280 as i have been told they are more of a trail shoe and not an out and out fell shoe as people have had trouble decending steep hills in themHmmmm... I'm in the market for some trail shoes as I intend to mix in some non-fell running this year (shock horror). Up to now I've been considering various Inov8 Flyrocs/Roclites, the Montrail Highlander, the Mizuno Wave Harrier, and even, dare I say it, the Swoop... But these look interesting.
SportsShoes.com have them at £36 but the sole looks a bit mild on the pics. What is the grip like if you encounter a bit of mud on your trail runs?
I would say the inov8 roclite 305 is the best trail shoe inov8 offer-cushioning,durable and grippy. Sportdirect are flogging the kanadia's off at 31,any advances on that?

They did get that that from trail running as they are meant to be used.
I got my caught on rocks running up coniston back in october, and they finished them off by tripping over a rock at the pennie b'way relays.
For less than 40 sheets these are a beaut pair of trail shoes.
Wouldn't like to use them on wet rock, but for general off-road, mud, trails, they are great. Very comfy, grippy, light & responsive. A whole lot better than a pair of the dreadful Davos that I used to curse every time I wore 'em.
Sizewise, try afore you buy. The sizing seems to be mega-small.
Overall, I do rate them & if you shop around, at that price, they're a deal, steal, sale of the Century!
