    Was there a man dismay'd ?
    Not tho' the athletes knew
    Some one had blunder'd:
    Theirs not to make reply,
    Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do & die,
    Into the valley of death
    Ran the six hundred
    from memory

Bogs to the left of them,
Bogs to the right of them,
    Bogs in front of them,
    shattered and red faced,
    ran the six hundred,

That takes me back, I had to recite The charge of the light Brigade from memory at a speech day at school in front of the local dignatries inc the lord mayor of Leeds,
    Thanks for the trip Xrunner

I have a thin HH balaclava that works well, despite making me look like a total plonker. Taking it for an airing on the Trog tomorrow.

Went to get my old caving balaclava out of the garage tonight, ready for rombalds in the morning. Apparently it made a very comfy field mouse nest. Also Petzel caving oversuits are very tasty if you are a rodent.

Join the club! - the whole idea of adults corresponding about mincing up and down hills whilst wearing gaudy vests and polyester tights is sad, sad, sad....

    I love it!

Poor Norman obviously takes himself way too seriously. Either that, or he has a bottomless money mine that enables him to buy any and every bit of kit on the market, without asking anyone else what works for them.
