I've just bought a silentnight miracoil 7 vibrance mattress. http://www.silentnight.co.uk/product...coil7/vibrance on the understanding that the innergetic latex layer aids recovery and leaves you feeling invigorated and ready to go in the morning as opposed to a memory foam layer which holds and supports you but are renowned for making you overheat and sweat.

After only sleeping in it a couple of nights it's benefits are beginning to show. It may be a placebo effect but i do feel fresher on waking up and doesn't take me as long to 'rooost', i.e. time taken between actual waking and getting up.

Only problem is the one night I woke up in a pool of sweat. it was that bad i had to change the sheets the next day. I bought the latex one to stop this but on investigating further it appears that they can be just as bad as memory foam. I did get warned of this in one shop and they said to look out for an 'Outlast layer' http://www.outlast.com/index.php?id=71&L=0. If it didn't say it had one you would probably get too hot. Thought the Silentnight cirrus airflow system would stop the heat up but it appears not. The missus is not affected but the girls don't sweat as much as blokes do they.

Has anyone tried an Outlast mattress protector to stop the overheating http://www.bestpricemattress.co.uk/s....php?prodId=45
