Ian, the 6 or 7 wrappers I'm talking about were just off the path. Easily within reach, even with cold hands. I wouldn't have been able to spot them 2000ft away. And yes, I have been in the fells, nearly every day. And no, I've never done a 500 mile round trip.
You live in Yorkshire though, should people who live in London be not allowed to travel to races then?
I'd recommend the Ben Race. Worth the trip.
And, after your quickly edited post, I'm not harping on, just disappointed. You drop litter, you pick it up. Simple.
Cheers. I'll cycle to the Ben Race.
Fair point. I hope you're right. Let's put that one to bed, 'cos that's where my aching limbs are bound.
Maybe you didn't see anyone drop any litter deliberately but this litter business has become a regular feature at long races. It is a relatively trivial matter in the grand scheme of things but it just adds a little bit more to the negative effect that large fields of runners are having on the fells.
As far as erosion on 'geronimo' is concerned...what do people expect when it's trained on almost every day of the year.

Any sign of the reults yet ?
At the presentation Kieron said he'd have them out by the end of the week.
