Had a great day watching & hopefully encouraging. Amazing how many people keep their sense of humour whilst blowing out of their asses on the final hell of the big end - so well done to everyone.

Hope the jelly beans & Mint Cake helped

Well done everyone. I was bushed just walking up the big end having strolled down to take these pictures. So no chance of me attempting the race anytime soon. Sorry to all those who missed out on jelly babies and water - supply didn't meet demand. Next year I'll just have to leave my coat at home so I can fit more supplies in my rucksack.

Could not have done it without your encouragement over the last year and a half.
I set of with the aim to just finish. I was surprised how good my legs felt on the climbs - I was expecting to suffer after the first half as I seem to do in training these days after two climbs!. I really enjoyed the geronimo descent as I had forgotten about the "buzz" you get after a steep decent.

I think you are safe Richard as I have one speed at the moment which is steady.

Thanks Steve but I think the "Special well done" goes to yourself. I know it has been a long haul getting back to running.
Thanks also for the encouragement early on before your accident when I was only allowed to walk and you caught me a few time whilst "walking on Pendle!!!" - you tried to tell me to take it easy.

Next target - Three Peaks (maybe?) I need 5 more to reach 21. I just need to keep training and see what happens.

    Martin
