South from Skiddaw Little Man - depth, distance and just about the whole lakes laid out at your feet. Wainwright was right about that one.
Nearly as good is Great Gable from the cairn on top of Lingmell crag (about 150m from Lingmell summit). It is awesome - the Wasdale face looks vertical as it is perfectly foreshortened from this side.
Another corker is southwest from Grasmoor, looking towards the Scafells over Buttermere. It also has depth, lakes, tarns and lines of fells, one above the other.
The great thing is, the list goes on and on and on. Top of Hallin Fell is also a lovely spot.
