    I'm going for 13th June. Plenty of training to do between now and then...and since you're probably on the road between the new place and the Lakes, you'd be more than welcome on my recce trips.

    Only problem might be that I'll be doing anti-clockwise recces!

    Oh.. personal goals...just the one right now really (see above), but as part of the training for that I'm looking forward to the Wadsworth Trog, Wuthering Hike, Calderdale Hike, 3 Peaks and Old County Tops.

    I think all runners at some level must have personal goals, or they wouldn't make it to the start line. A couple of years ago my goal was to set PBs in all the standard road distances, and to win the Scottish Islands Peaks Race, but I've done all those now. So my goal now is just to race virtually every weekend without getting injured, and to train a bit more.

    My only specific goal for 2009 is to aim for sub 2:50 in London Marathon:
