Ditto! My 'camelbak type thingy' was empty and the emergency bottle was long gone. A bottle o' Lucozade gave me the lift to get up and over to the finish - brill! I owe you one!

Can't believe you *almost* fell for that one! Trying to enforce the rule about if you finish a race but your kit isn't complete then you might be disqualified.... You gotta laugh!

I knew you were joking really I had a spare hat, balaclava and a polar thong stashed in my bumbag.
Loved that last section from snake, with the two climbs and the great downhill finish, looking back up that i'm glad we were coming down

Fab wasn't it? Going up felt like mountaineering, the descent was bl**dy marvellous. Perfect.

I had a bottle stached on Bleaklow with some gels, It was burried under a snow drift so I'll go back up for it in a week or two. I ate plenty early on so didn't eat any thing after Bleaklow despite having plenty in my bag.
Jan I'll try and pop round with your case tonight.

    Re: Tanky's Trog is ON!

    Here's my two ha'pence worth...

Race report - pants! Struggled round, was half an hour slower than last time so not happy about that!

Going up Black Hill stomach cramp settled in and despite eating & drinking etc I had it all the way up to the top of Bleaklow. Added to this, I began having leg cramp going up Torside. Took some Nuun tabs and these eventually seemed to do the trick. Met Brent at top of Herm Stones - it was a big help to have some company to the road section. Thanks to Ratfink's drinks stand got the energy to face the last part. Trotting down the road to the Snake I was seriously considering bombing out and cadging a lift though....

    Cor, I'm having a right moan, aren't I?

Craking event, glad it was rescued and went ahead. Very tricky underfoot on the tops but makes life interesting. Great to catch up with a gaggle of forumites. Manhar was screaming past me over Black Hill, he had a good run I think. And Marty McFly, who also hed an ace run, should now be called "Whippet".

Cheers Ian, Andy, Brent, MR and whoever else for the organisation and running of this event. As I fininshed I thought "I'm not bl**dy doing that again" but today I'm not so sure....
