Added myself, see you there, a very runnable and scenic course.

Britnick - Cheers for the offer, I got a number from a colleague who backed out. Really nice event, could be on my annual return list. Hope your getting better?

    Re: LDWA events

It looks like I'll be back on Troller's next year. Add me to the list please. I love that event.

Thanks Drunken. Deafness and lung congestion are the legacy, but apart from that I'm better thanks. I need to get back to some running now. The blessing in disguise is that my business trip had to be postponed so I can do Rudolph's Romp again. Let's hope they will allow me to reapply, having withdrawn my entry.

This thread is turning into the Trollers Trot Appreciation Society. Still it is a great event, even better than Rombalds. Even the last few tired miles along the river into a strong headwind of the last couple of years can't dampen my enthusiasm. Can I change my "very likely" to do into definite.

    Plusses and minuses for each???

Looks like it's going to be the Trollers then (unless someone's going to speak up in favour of the Hobble). My first thoughts were for this anyway as I love the area and have no real idea about the Hobble.

    Re: LDWA events

Just read through last few pages and someone asked about the 4 Inns.

It's a terrific event in teams of 3 or 4. Quite stringent kit requirements (kisu/bothy bag (big enough for the team) and a sleeping bag between the team as team kit plus individual requirements as well) but well organised inc. accomodation at start and finish. Quite tough 43-ish miles 'tween Holmebridge and Buxton - winning team this year (09) in about 7 hrs 20 mins or so. We did 11 hours on the nose. Slowest are the walkers in about 22 hours or thereabouts.

I did it as a mere sprog as a walker and then returned as a runner 30+ years later!

I thought it was possible to enter the Romp on the day? I'm considering going over to this one next Saturday.
