Thread: Calder Valley Round

    Re: Calder Valley Round

Most enjoyable run round this route today. Description is good as it's a pretty complex area in places.

Anyway I made it round in 2.44 having to stop a few times to read the description and look at the map. There was some ice on the track along to Gibson Mill (perhaps using the riverside path would be an improvement here?) and also up Colden Clough, but otherwise the conditions underfoot were surprisingly good.

It's a good route for a grey winter's day as quite a lot of it is sheltered. Some very good woodland paths which were new to me too. Recommended.

2-44 That's quite a time that Compo. You didn't go down all the hills in an old bath did you It's not allowed!! I hope that is an outstanding run or my target times are way out!

Any way it should give CVFR and Tod something to aim at

Yeah, and there's probably plenty to come off that time when it's not icy and now he knows the route!
