Great photos! Was roped into doing this by some "friends" as my first fell run (ever) and had a fab day out...looking forward to my next one now!

Great race but does anyone know the reasoning behind the late route change?

Great photos too but why so expensive to buy?

Fair enough, but surely more people would be tempted if they were more reasonably priced.

Darth - I was referring to the ommision of Owler Tor/4th stile etc. section. Just wondered what the reason was. There were a few pissed off people in the clubhouse when they announced it!

The new finish off Houndkirk Hill back to Houndkirk Moor added a bit to the distance, so by removing Owler Tor it took the distance back down to what was advertised and removed the dreadful crashing through thigh deep rock strewn heather.

That makes sense - glad we didn't have to run any further! I don't think not running down to Owler Tor/4th stile detracted from the event in any way.

Would have been interesting if the race had been this weekend - there might have been a few people still up there now!

Has the route for this changed again for 2011 or is it still as shown here...?

Does anyone have an OS map with the route plotted on it?

Being a strange Lancashire lad I'm hungrily slurping up all the info I can find...

Have a look on Totley web site, understand check point 4 is in the wrong place, no need to cross the road
