The forecast is looking too good to be true!
    Met office says:
    Saturday
A fine dry day with broken cloud and spells of sunshine. Light or moderate winds. Freezing level above summits.
    Sunday
Another fine dry day with well broken cloud and periods of sunshine. Light or moderate winds. Freezing level above summits.

Just doing my packing! Hmmm - Factor 20? Deet? 90% alcohol absinthe? I think I'll risk leaving out the first, but take the others.

I'm packing tonight and have been having similar thoughts...had pretty much decided on zero midge kit. Having my doubts now.....head net or no head net?

Well it's early in the season, but I've been caught out that way before in the Highlands. I'm not planning to take anything on the run, but I'll have Deet handy for Friday evening/Sat morning. If it's bad I can alway change my mind & take it on the run as well. I'll risk no head net - I've got a buff & that'll have to do. (Officially it's a hat of course).

Midges! I thought the whole point of it being in April was that it was midge free. I shall go and repack. It's so warm down here that I'm seriously tempted to jettison some clothing, I imagine that would probably be a mistake.

Ok midge spray and head net it is then with the option of leaving it in the car.

As for clothing...I'll be taking plenty of layers; I'm a whimp when it comes to cold and wouldn't want to freeze if I suffered an injury and had to limp back slowly!

Ooh nearly forgot the tick thingy! Does that mean I should bring my shorts? And what about a camera?
