What a superb day! This is only the second time I've done this race and I've been lucky with the weather both times (dare I risk a third one next year?!) Had a great run to Mam Tor, but on the way up to Brown Knoll it got very tough - just nothing in my legs. Partly lack of hill training this year and partly not taking on enough food early on. Finished 10 minutes slower than last year, but who cares with such fantastic scenery.

Excellent pics there, but how did your feet stay so clean? Mine are only at that level of cleanliness after a couple of days and several showers!

Must have been the twin layer 1000 mile socks that filtered out the worst of the mud!

Does anyone know if the Skyline results are out yet? I looked on DPFR but to no avail.

Thanks FF. We had a chat on the way up to Win Hill. I asked you whether it was Ladybower Reservoir below us and we kept passing each other for most of the race.
Currently having to shuffle thanks to the aches in calf and quad muscles. The cycle to work this morning was fairly slow as well.

You 2 must have been near me too??? I was in one of the photo's - well the back of me slightly in the distance but on my bad patch (on the way to Jacobs Ladder) where you more than likely went tootling by?

You only had one bad patch! I had multiple, nested bad patches all the way from Jacob's Ladder to the finish........

well, maybe it lasted longer, was just convincing myself otherwise!
