Come on, stop playing the half-wit.
I didn't enlist, by the way.
No man under my command ever lost his life. And I'm not especially happy about the lives they took. And I reckon any one of them has a better claim to thinking than you, old bean.

Ya tozje govaryu pa russki, moy starii drug.

You're right I spend alot of time on-line. I retired 10 years ago, so FRA, home brewing and the stock market on-line fill alot of my down time. The rest of the day is just dull things like running, brewing, housework, furniture restoration, shopping and cooking.

Why don't you and your dear wife pop round for dinner some time, we generally have people round once a month, (we always invite real people!), and you can see the original documentation. It's not as if you live far away, though it does seem like another planet.

My apologies to other forumites, I rarely rise to the bait, but jtB takes the biscuit for apparently in-grained bigotry.

It always amazes me how people are so obsessed with celebrities . Whether it's a footballer or a movie star. I'm the type of person who if lance Armstrong was sitting at the table next to me I would respect him and grant him silence.
    Who cares
You ask me whether he was morally right. Well as like any man or woman that's cheated on the one they have married. They have done it and that's it. I don't think morals come into it. Some men have in them them that they cannot stick to one woman. It's actually how men are wired. To reproduce. It's a natural instinct. It was there long before marriage and morals came into the fold.

If you want my personal view. If I was earning say£200,000 a week. Could I stay loyal and not stray. Can't say that for sure I could be honest and say yes. Could any man. The pressure someone like Rooney lives under must be immense.
Almost missed this among the JtB diatribe - but I'll just say fair points Daz and like you I couldn't really care less about the cult of the celebrities but sadly it sells papers and magazines.

Good post daz, loads of money, plenty of spare time and pressure, how can people be so judgmental when not in that position? Lad at work was telling me today how Rooney was as thick as two short planks, all holier than thou bollox, he's never met the lad. Feel sorry for all concerned, it's just one of life's messes, not the first and won't be the last. Nobody's perfect.
