Have got a mid-life crisis desire to do 3 peaks next year so scrabbling around for suitable races...Clarification gratefully received...
Come on, chaps, it's on the 3P website (add a year for the 2011 race):

    Qualification
Entries will be accepted from men and women aged not less than 18 on race day who have either :-

Completed the Three Peaks Race in 2007, 2008 or 2009.
Since Jan 1st 2008 completed at least two different Medium A, Long A or Long B Fell Races. Note – only FRA definitions apply.
Runners who do not fulfil either of these requirements but who have endurance running experience should submit details on their entry - listing endurance races completed 2008 and 2009 eg road marathon within 3hrs 20mins.O.M.M. Elite A,B,Class or equivalent.
Overseas competitors must submit full details of experience.
PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT AN ENTRY UNLESS YOU MEET THESE REQUIREMENTS
It is emphasized that the cut off times of 2hrs 10min Ribblehead and 3hrs 30min Hill Inn will be strictly enforced.

I think threerock was wanting clarification on the grading for this race BL, as opposed to the PPP entry requirements. As Stolly has mentioned and as now amended on the website it is a BM so not an eligible counter.

Yeah, that's all I was on about. Settle trail race site was originally being promoted on their own website as a 3 peaks qualifier, that has now been corrected on the Settle trail race site, so all is well. I'm doing the race anyway, looks excellent.

Well that was a lovely race! Great course that was nice and run-able. The weather was good as well (though a bit windy for my liking). Oh and I really appreciated the copious amount of cake and coffee at the end! Will definitely be doing it again next year. Was anyone else there (and what do you look like so I can put some names to faces)?

DOUBLE BIG WOW!! I have never seen a race where you get copious amouts of cake/drinks plus PRIZES!!
Obviously, living in Settle, I always knew the course was going to be stupendous and from last years race, that the cakes would be top quality country homebaking and plenty in amount! However, the PRIZES!!! Practically everybody won a top quality prize-(not an unwanted xmas present in sight) Unbelievable-I strongly urge everyone to enter next year, if not for the scenery/wonderful organisation/splendid locals (!!) then for the prizes!! It is especially pleasing that its not just the front runners that wait for the prize giving. Thank you so much to all the organisers for another brilliant race, made even better by the new route! This can only grow in numbers as more runners hear about it!! Bring on next year!

ps special big thanks to Settle Harrier, Louise, without whom I would not have completed. Listen Big Sister, I thought I could talk!!!! Your chat/humour and encouragement was just what your little sister needed!!

I couldn't run because the timing clashed with my younger daughter's 'far more important' itinerary for the day. Me and Harry, my mountain border collie, did however run the route early doors but, instead of going around the final bit above Langcliffe, swerved to the left through Attermire Scar and perched ourselves on the ridge above just in time to watch you lot run past. I did whistle but I suspect that no-one could hear or see me. I couldn't see you lot for sure - you were all little dots trotting past below.

Well run Rachel, having run a "short 'un" yesterday too

Ah the prizes! I am now the owner of a nice new Hilly bottle carrier thanks to them! Awesome!

Just got to be 20 minutes faster next year to win myself one of those £50 Hagloffs vouchers...
