Closing date appears to be 11th October although there is a note about a £5 surcharge for late entries:

I've entered on the day before.
It's courtesy to enter in good time, if you can, as it lets them know numbers for the catering, the nice RR50 mug etc. And you save a fiver!
For all you Facebooker's out there - RR event page:

I claim the Wally of the Week award for getting the date of this wrong. Somehow, I got it into my head that the run was tomorrow and only discovered at 8.30 this morning that it was today and I'd missed it. Oh well, better go and put away all my little laminated route cards, gels, etc.
Grrrrrr as they say. Bet the air was blue! You missed a good one. We had great fun doing the relay. I saw lots of the faster runners who normally go bombing off into the distance. Usual brill event - friendly, well organised, scrummy nosh etc Off for my long soak in the bath now. Whilst my tea is cooked for me - what a life!
Great to hook up with several forumites en route today. Firstly Colm and Hamster- where in spite of lots of collective experience we went badly wrong and lost 20 mins near the start.
Then Pete, Hamster and Martin after Langold Lake to the end, just missing out on sub-8. Happy with 8:02 though
"Commentary: Autumn 2010 Fellrunner
A well known book about fellrunning, originally sold at £8.95 but out-of-print since 1987, occasionally comes up for sale on e-Bay with copies selling for around £130. Which must please one well-liked FRA Forum contributor who was delighted to recently find a copy in a bric-a-brac shop in Wales for just £3!"
Never mind. Some you lose, some you win: but "well-liked" applies in any case.
It must have been you guys I was running with up as far as Maltby where I lost the plot a bit faffing around with drinks etc. (I had the blue T-shirt on). Trying to catch up with you kept me pushing to end and largely contributed to me knocking 27 mins off my PB, finishing in 8:05.
More than happy with that.![]()
