Tbh, work has been mental the last few weeks and my training has suffered. I doubt I'd be up to this at the moment.

conditions under foot are awful, boggy and deep water every where, even the dry bits. There must have been alot of water running off the hill as I kept coming across strange cones of rocks push in to piles at various points, i'm sure the rain will have washed these way before race day.

22 miles today lots of people on the hill, glad i got an early start. top of cot gate to Wainstones and back via grinha.

Me and Helen recced the nice bit yesterday, Mill Hill to Moscar via Stanage Edge. The weather was fantastic almost spring like, we had the best time. We saw lots and lots of millstones strewn all over the place below Stanage Edge, what's that all about Ian?

Just need to do one more recce of the nasty bit and we're ready to go!

Stanage is made of Millstone grit, guess why it's so called! Millstones are found all over the peak, I believe that the market collapsed so they were just abandoned where ever they were. Theres about 60+ around stanage alone. They'd make great garden Decorations
