This was my first fell race and would like to say thanks to all involved, especially the marshalls who were very encouraging. Despite being nervous at the start, I really enjoyed it and will be back next year.

Cheers Andy and everyone involved. Another great race, although a few too many fast people today.

    Bollington 3 Peaks Fell Race

Just a reminder for the 5th Bollington (festival) 3 Peaks fell race on Saturday 18th May at 2pm.

Registration is from 1pm at Bollington Brewery on Adlington Road, Bollington. Park in The Vale Inn car park, at the Rangers Station or Cricket Pavillion car parks (all on Adlington Road) or probably better to find parking on the main road before walking down Adlington Road.

Cost of entry is £5.00 per runner, which includes a specially brewed beer (Fell Runner) and food provided by the Bollington Brewing Company.

The race is 9km (5.6 miles) with 370 metres (1220 ft) of climbing around a route that includes Kerridge Hill, White Nancy (with partying marshalls) and Nab Hill (with cowbells).

Here is a link to a map of the route: http://www.mh.k313.com/mh/general/Bo...ell%20Race.JPG

The current course records have been set by Simon Bailey at 37 minutes and 9 seconds and for the women by Olivia Walwyn-Bush at 42 minutes dead.

Fantastic route Tim and the beer / refreshments cannot be faulted. I'd be there myself, but in the Lakes. Enjoy it.
