I dont rarely get bored mate, to be honest i like the repetition, always have. Including listening to the same tune all over again.
Tonight. She,s so high by blur.

Yes in my view the rollers are better. I dont use a turbo

In 1993 i welded up 16,000 raleigh activator frames up when the mortgage rate rocketed to 15per cent. That makes riding 80 mins on rollers easy.
Try welding 200 frames a shift for weeks on end, thats repetition.
Now i do it for myself not for the nationwide

My sister and I shared a Raleigh Activator. It could've been made by you Daz!! Have you ever tried to work out how many frames you've welded over the years? And how many people might have ridden them?

daz, you make frames for a living? respect.

40 mins on turbo bores me to death and i don't think blur could save it. tubeway army might.

anyway i thought we was having a ride some time.

No i dont make frames now. I had to work at raleigh when times were hard. I spent equal times in brazed frame and the mig welding side.
My background is heavy fabrication but at that time there was no work.

Road frames were in decline when i worked there but i brazed together probably maybe 250. Making frames from scratch is an art. I did build a few from basic tubes, mitre gauges, then into the jig then just the right amount of heat when brazing.
Ive also tig welded the odd frame.
As for activators, my stamp number was marked with the letter w. So if the activator has the letter w stamped under the chain stay bridge its mine.

Rollers are a lot less boring than the turbo... I can't stay on the turbo for more than 20 mins or so, but have managed an hour on the rollers... and they are also much better for keeping warmed up at track meets...
