To be honest though, I don't really fancy 92 miles the day after Borrowdale - with the state of my legs, the state of my head, and the terrain it goes over, that'll mean around six hours on the go, which is about double what I'd planned! Reckon I'll stick to something a bit shorter, staying around Borrowdale/Buttermere.

With you there TT, 92 miles seems a bit excessive for day after a Lakeland Classic fell race.... Not sure, even if I had the legs, that I'd have time to do it and still get to Penrith train station to get my train home!

The route for the Honister 92 avoids all the passes until the finish, which just happens to be on top of Honister Pass, so after Borrowdale, its just an undulating ride..........mind you there are some big undulations!

I'm going to do it Chris, with the option at Lorton of missing out the loop out west and going straight from there through Buttermere to Honister. See what time it is when I get to Lorton.
