Not sure when in the year it will be - end of June was discussed as an option - any thoughts?
FANTASTIC!! I agree the end of June sounds like a good time to run the race. Thanks for taking it up, if you need any help at all just drop me a pm.

Sounds like great news. With Buttermere at the end of June it will be a real challenge for long race lovers to squeeze in Duddon, Ennerdale, Great Lakes, Buttermere, then Wasdale all in the space of about 6 weeks! A mega 5-race challenge in itself!

My thoughts entirely. I am normally in bits for Duddon, a bit better by Ennerdale and stronger for wasdale. If this race materialises then wasdale should be a breeze!

    route through Lanwaite woods

    2. Robinson Summit
    3. Dale Head Summit
    4. Honister Pass
    5. Black Beck tarn

I have a feeling that the original race was during the school holidays, maybe early August. Would need to go in the loft and search out my old calendars.

There's two different versions been given in the thread and links with the longer one going via Hopegill Head and Ard Crags. The long one gives a nicer initial hill section and a better route to Robinson IMHO and gets in to the Wasdale/Ennerdale league for gruelling ascent and descent with the shorter more akin to Duddon maybe. Which one is being looked at? Both still under consideration?

Originally advertised as 24m and 9000' but later as 20m and 8000
I think the shorter one is more like Ennerdale/Wasdale!
