Mud removal

....I got bitten by one, my ankle was swollen to the size of my calf, took a course of antibiotics to fettle it. I had to have a fortnight off running too which has been a right pain.

Same effect as a Yorkshire man has when he bites a Lancastrian.

Me too. It works very well. Your socks are normally coated in mud on the outside, but they always turn inside-out when you take them off, and they act like special spongy wet leg-washers.

I get told off for that as I chuck inside out sock in machine, hang them up to dry then when I turn them the right way round to put them on leave piles of dry mud and grss usually in the bedroom an I am the female in the house

Never had any yorkshire men biting my legs..not sure if I know any yorkshire men..

I like the wet socks idea. Didn't think about the SSS as mud removal, but after Cragg Vale it definately stopped the midges, and the mud did slip off easier. Think I might have suffered a Lancs bite though!

clean everything in the Kitchen. They'll soon be begging you to use the bathroom.

and as for those using a towel to preserve their modesty - I was of the thinking that fell runners didn't mind their modesty being exposed when at a car boot. Or even on the hill!
