'Somehow' with a month's head start? (As if you're not fast enough already. )

nope, I was totally wrong. lots of road!

i fecked up the nav into skidby, and catastrophically after CP9, and completely chucked a strong 3rd place away. but most importantly i was running well n didnt fade, very chuffed with that. still hauled it back to 5th place. fab weather for it. cant believe my luck ever since Oct FFS, every race as been fab. how did u get on dogruf?

Toyota, i'm assuming we chatted at finish, unless someone else went wrong in both those places,i missed right turn after cp9 then ended up on road with you hareing after me after our mile detour then leaving me on last climb[i blame those female ramblers for not pointing us right], still a great day out even tho' it felt like someone had used the soles of my feet for baseball bat practice what with all that tarmac and crap shoes.
Reckon we need to brush up on nav:thumbup:

Nav is such a bugbear FFS. Glad you made me realise where we went wrong else I'd have been proper head scratching.
and Cheers again for keeping me straight at Rotherham too

Is anyone doing the Wensleydale Wander on April 6 this year? If you're driving via Durham, Darlington, Northallerton, please let me know. Likewise, if there's any way to get to the start by public transport, I'd like to hear about it! http://www.ldwa.org.uk/challenge_eve...event_id=11425

It's astonishing how much you can eat on a LDWA event if you're walking rather than running. I did the 3 Shires with my daughter yesterday, & I'm still recovering from the blowout. Staffordshire oatcakes with melted cheese at the checkpoints. Quiche & about a dozen assorted homemade salads at the end. And pork pies for the meateaters. And cake.
