flipping heck...now that I make an online note of every morsel that I eat and drink and every run I do, I'm actually losing weight! Goddam those almond croissants in Cafe Nero, 350calories!!! Guess I won't be having those very often any more....or I could just run more

You think that's the key Hes? I've been stuck at 150lbs for the past 10 years or so, I'd love to lose about 4-5lbs but have never been able to shift it.

    Re: Overweight to Race-weight

Hi Martyn, I really do think it's the key for me. Because I work from home, I tend to graze and snack a lot and drink copious cups of tea plus I often think I can eat anything just because I've gone for a run but now that I log everything (and it isn't as tedious as it sounds as the website is really easy), I think twice about what I'm eating. It also offsets your exercise against your daily calorie goal so you know roughly (I don't suppose it is pinpoint accurate) how much extra you can eat. It has taught me masses about what is in things and sometimes I'll check something on their database before I decide to eat it so that I can adjust my meals and not go over my goal. I don't want to lose much or become obsessed but I do feel better for it and I reckon I'll use it whenever I feel I'm slipping back into bad habits.

Dear oh dear I have now started logging everything I eat on that pesky website, I cannot believe how much sugar I have, most if which seems to come from fruit, which I thought was ok, but maybe it isnt.

Hmmm. Thanks Hes, I might have to give this a try. I've got a feeling my innocent jar-of-peanut-butter-per-week habit might be under threat!

60.3kg for me. Getting there. The trouble is my appetite is becoming monstrous as I've increased my training. I can see why proper athletes have nutritionists looking after them. It can be hard to get the balance right.
