    Hi Manhar,

I'm not fit in any way, but at least i have lots of stamina, which should hopefully get me round sub 6. Will say hi if i get as far as Lingmell nose, lets hope im not as f**ked as i was when i got there in 2009.

Ready as I'll ever be, haha

What do people make of the forecast? Seems like patchy rain/ cloud coming in during the afternoon. Just hope the clag isn't right down all the way round the route. Atleast it's not going to be baking hot!

We might be lucky and the weather could come in later than expected, I think it should be reasonable at least when the race starts!

The last long run I did was Ennerdale, and that wasn't exactly as expected... Could be a painful finish tomorrow!

Yeah you never can tell really. The number of times me and my Dad have gone walking in the lakes and a front has taken longer than expected to come through or nice versa. Looks like the persistent heavy rain won't be til 5/6ish or later but I wouldn't be surprised if it's very cloudy summits/showers last 3rd of race. Very hard to predict though, just wait and see.

We needn't of worried about the weather, it was fine. A little warm perhaps but nothing like last year and the cloud was above the summits, apart from scafell pike for the 5.30hr and beyond finishers, who were also treated to a fine cooling rain. Well done race winner Simon Harding and run of day must be Jasmin Paris who was 1st lady but also 3rd overall. Many thanks to all involved and a special mention for the catering ladies, they're up for a laugh and they make bloody beltin butties, thank you ladies.
Every time I do Wasdale and the 2.30hr drive home, I climb out of the car and do the Wasdale walk, which basically looks like I've shit myself....for the record, I haven't.

First Wasdale loved it, hated it and then loved it again despite it ruining my feet a bit. Awesome day out on the hills today, I seem to have gotten quite sunburnt. Agree with Tindersticks about it being just a touch too warm, I think it was lack of wind. I think Jasmin was just off the record (less than a minute) from what she was saying at the finish but it was a great effort, when she went through Greendale Joss seemed surprised as she was in 2nd overall then!
