Thanks Noel it is going to have to be an e-kit because music should be played loud in my book and headphones are essential as far as I am concerned, as I have nothing down for winding up my neighbours.

I figure that as a beginner that combination is going to cover all bases for me and if I take to it I can always upgrade later any thoughts/suggestions most wellcome .

I guess I need to get a move on if I am going to get my kit before the next lockdown
Looks good, John. Hope you beat the lockdown.

We have an old Yamaha kit at school (I’m a music teacher) that has taken some thrash over the years and still works fine (mostly).
We’ve been doing lots of body-percussion in these Covid times as we cannot teach in our usual music rooms or sing. I would have to say the improvements of coordination are astounding. Getting all students to use hands and feet at the same time has been a great leap, but will pay off when we go back to ‘normal’.
It is an excellent brain and body warm up!
