which line is best from seatallan to pillar?
Blands map shows just to right of Haycock to path junction,then along Scoat fell,
but there looks to be a decent line/path via scoat tarn to left of red pike.
What do you think?

Last year I and a fair few others went contoured round north of tarn, then stayed south of scoat fell summit and also black crag has a low level line underneath the crags. Was a good line, had water near tarn and was probably shortest way. I will be going that way again.

Also why not the direct descent off scafell pike? why head around Lingmell?
