Thanks for that link DT. I'm heading out next week to run/walk the UTMB over 3 days. Will pack the Yaktrax as he mentions snow not just on the cols.

Fellmincer - I was out on a 3-day recce last weekend. You won't need Yaktrax/Kahtoolas - the few patches of snow remaining on route are negotiable in trail shoes. It was a hard 3 days.
