On race day the route heads up the cobbles and into the parking field, then descends to to Lee Bank via 3 fields (well flagged).
The route then continues as shown in recce map.
When the race returns to Lee Bank (as you curse the organiser for including a 500 feet ascent in the last half mile) you retrace your steps to the parking field, but instead of returning down the cobbled street, you dive through a gap in a wall into the finsh field (200m down hill sprint) where you collapse in a heap gasping for oxygen.
